Hello! I’m Laurie Goodman, and I’ve been baking for pretty much my entire life — the earliest cake I remember is a three-tier wedding-style cake I made for my parents’ anniversary when I was about 13. Since then, I’ve baked for family, friends and co-workers. I’ve studied baking at the Culinary Institute of America and the Institute of Culinary Education, and I’m always up for a challenge.
First and foremost, my cakes (and pies and other baked goods) taste great. I like decorations that are fun and attractive — but I leave the crazy, over-the-top Ace-of-Cakes sculptures to the real experts.
